NBA 2k3 was when 2k really started to get somewhere. This definitely isn't when they passed NBA Live, but it is a turning point. 2k3 was when ESPN started it's 2k reign, which is what eventually brought the 2k Sports industry to overcome NBA Live, so that is why I say this was a turning point. The game's actual game play wasn't too different from NBA 2k2, but it did include new dunks, and some other game moves. The game also came out on more systems, such as the Nintendo Gamecube and Sony's PS2.
